a little science: leaf 'breathing'

CO2 in O2 out. Want to see it?  Fill a jar with water. Add a nice green leaf & place it in the sun for at least one hour.

"Thousands of tiny bubbles appear on the surface of the leaf and the inside of the container." LEAFY LESSONS from Simple Earth Science Experiments with Everyday Materials, Loeschning

Compare the differences between doing it in the sun and doing it inside. (If you do it inside less bubbles form and they appear slower.)

Excuse me, is that your lab partner?
Yep, a little science, no shoes, & a cat. It's a school day.
