little lions

This trio is no ordinary threesome.  These girls Beach and the two sisters are of one heart, a heart slightly severed by grown-up circumstances beyond their control.  

Life beyond my control. 

Life beyond what their mother would have intended for them. 

 

These are stolen moments & they are bittersweet- together again. 

Life in full bloom like beautiful flowers here then gone but forever grateful.

I wonder.

I worry.

But today there are here with me, safe, sound, & relishing what might have been for them had only...  

The fact that they are innocent matters to no one.  The Justice System does not see them. The court cares little for what they have been sentenced for the crimes of another. 

Once a wooden fence was the only thing separating them from us & now...if only things had be different.
