at the garden gate

Our late start garden is making a run for it.

The harvest has been a trickle of one or two ripe tomatoes, a small arm load of zucchini.  The peas were a feast for one small child and the carrots; we don’t talk about the carrots.  But the cucumbers, the bell peppers, & the onions are happy campers this year. 

 

 Personally I am pulling for the struggling melons & those pesky pumpkins.
